An exciting property development

Marlet1 is a new property development in Barcelona, providing 10 beautiful apartments in a renovated building in the heart of the Gothic Quarter. As part of our ongoing work with Lucas Fox, we were asked to design and develop a site to showcase the Marlet1 development, providing the user with key information on the project and allowing them to appreciate the quality of the properties.

The web project

We’ve worked on many property projects and have a very good, in-depth understanding of the sector but it’s always important to learn about the unique qualities of each project. From the developers we learned that a key part of the project was the marriage of the historical and the modern. For us then, that meant that the site must communicate how buyers will share in the history of the Gothic Quarter while also becoming owners of a wonderful modern property.

To help with this, we were pleased to work with some great, original photography which captured the spirit of the area. And alongside these images we were able to incorporate into the site a set of quality renders of the apartments themselves.

We worked with the project manager to create an appropriate site structure and decide how the content would be distributed within the site. This allowed us to define a set of content modules that site editors can use to create all the pages needed within the site.

The site branding was informed by the styles used in offline marketing materials, and we used these as guidelines to create typography styles, colours and core content modules in a consistent and cohesive manner.

We created a light, clean look to reflect the layouts and style of the properties themselves, making good use of the available photography and renders.

Users have easy access to key information about each property within the development, and on each page will also see images and content that communicate the history of the area.

The site benefits from the implementation of an easy-to-use content management system to allow site admins and content managers to easily modify content at any time.

The final site is a great-looking, fast, responsive site that allows users to appreciate the special qualities of the development. So if you’re looking for a unique apartment right in the middle of Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter, take a look at the site and tell them we sent you!

Having worked with DigitalHappy on other New Development projects we knew what to expect from them, and we certainly weren’t disappointed. We wanted to convey the historic element of the development whilst showcasing the superbly renovated contemporary apartments. The website does this perfectly, and the responsive design provides an optimal viewing and interaction experience on all devices. Another great result!
