A fast, responsive redesign and build for leading language learning services provider, Go English.
A website redesign project for a long term client
We’ve partnered with Go English since they first started, and have worked on several iterations of their website. The last version of the site had been in place for a few years and was largely unchanged since its launch. Business needs change overtime, and it’s important that a site is relevant and competitive. With this in mind, it was time to get to work and bring the site into line with the current needs, modern standards and user expectations.
Quality services and a focus on technology
Go English provide language learning services to professionals and companies, and have a strong focus on using cutting-edge technology and methodology to help their clients reach their language goals. This includes the use of a leading online learning platform, the development of in-house teaching materials and the incorporation of modern communication tools into their methodology.
Their core clients are companies looking to provide their employees with quality in-company language training. This is a competitive business space and often the first point of contact will be a visit to the website from a potential client’s HR department. It’s important that site users quickly and easily understand exactly how Go English can help and what value they can offer.
Investigation, analysis; design and build
The first step of the redesign was to take a look at the current site and content, and to determine how and where we might be able to better organise the content. Site content should adapt and change alongside the business needs, but can often be overlooked. Any chance to take a step back and evaluate content is always welcomed, and we put together a streamlined structure (and url schema) that better reflected the current content needs.
We’re very familiar with the GoEnglish branding and were pleased to apply it within a modern web layout. During the discovery phase of the project, GoEnglish had indicated a preference for strong imagery on each page, and we also wanted to bring a greater focus to the restructured content. With this in mind, we planned to use large header images on each page, with a colour filter to match their branding, and the content shown within a clear, single central column.
Other content ideas for inclusion on the site were a collection of client testimonials that can be pulled in to appropriate pages, and a secondary navigation that allows visitors to move easily around each key section of the site. A nice and clear contact form serves as a targeted call to action on each page of the site.
The site is fully content managed (using our go-to CMS of choice, Perch), and gives Go English absolute control over their site structure and content.
This was also a great opportunity for us to rework the front-end code and make sure that we were delivering a fast, lean site. And this is exactly what we did. The new site is very fast and that is great for Go English, and great for their users and clients.
We look forward to developing new features on the site, and to working further with the team at Go English. Take a look at the new site, and do talk to them if you need any first-rate language training.
We’ve worked with DigitalHappy since the beginning of Go English, developing our websites, offline materials and online marketing campaigns, and always making sure it is using the latest technology and SEO optimised. We value their high attention to detail and accuracy in planning and execution, and over the years we have developed a trusted relationship and a fluent communication.
