March 2016 Round-Up
It’s been a good couple of months with some great new projects and some really interesting ongoing client work.
Well, we haven’t quite been able to maintain the pace of a monthly round-up since the end of last year, but here’s a digest of what we’ve been up to so far this year.
A new project
We completed a new client project for Barcelona Inside and Out, a local tour and experience company with a unique offering and incredible insider knowledge of the region.
The brief was to design and build a fast, responsive site that looked great and delivered their message of quality, bespoke tours. We enjoyed working on this very much, and if was great to collaborate with a client who really values the web as a key business channel. We’ve added a new portfolio item and case study, or you can go straight to the new BCNIO website.
Ongoing design and development
As usual, we’re continually working with Lucas Fox on design and development of their web site and other related projects. We’re currently working on a few new features which are scheduled for deployment shortly, and there is also the regular email campaign design and management, including this successful market reports download campaign.
We also work on designing and developing sites for specific property developments managed by Lucas Fox, and we’re already in the planning the next of these projects.
Another long term client is Go English, specialists in in-company language and communication training. We recently worked with them to consolidate and formalise their branding, producing an official brandbook with guidelines and examples of brand asset usage. Following on from this, we put together some ideas and guidelines for the design and development of their own classroom teaching materials. That was a really interesting project; thinking and using design to help students navigate effectively through their learning materials.
We’re also working on a some custom administrative system development for Go English, and this is a larger ongoing project with individual modules rolled out when they are ready to be tested and deployed. We’re also in early stages of a website revamp also, and are looking forward to working with the GoE team on that over the next weeks.
We’re in the final stages of an e-commerce project for an international client, using Shopify as the e-commerce platform. It’s been really interesting to design and build a custom Shopify theme and the site is currently being tested ahead of a launch in the next couple of weeks.
Not to be missed is this reminder that the web is for everyone, and the importance of web standards and accessibility.
We do quite a lot of email design and campaign management and here’s a quick look at 4 key design principles for a successful email campaign.
For project and client management, this is a great reminder of the importance of pre-empting potential problems and dealing appropriately with key stakeholders.
